Cop Stays with Dying Police Horse Until Her Last Breath

A Texas cop was photographed with his dying partner, a horse, until her final breath.
A photo of a Houston police officer staying with his dying partner, a horse named Charlotte, in her final moments has gone viral.

Charlotte died in the line of duty after getting spooked by a cement truck while Officer D. Herrejon was on her back. She bucked the officer off and was hit by the truck.
An investigation is ongoing, according to reports, but the driver of the cement truck is believed to not be at fault.
The officer stayed with Charlotte in her final moments where he was photographed.

The Animal Justice League posted the image on their Facebook account where word spread about the incident.
