Driver Pulled Over By Cops Sings His Way Out of a Ticket
T.J. Bristol started singing 'You Are So Beautiful' when female cops pulled him over for failing to wear a seatbelt.
A motorist who was pulled over for failing to wear a seatbelt managed to sing his way out of a ticket.
T.J. Bristol, a gospel singer and the chaplain of Orange County Jail, filmed himself on his phone as he was pulled over by officers in Florida.
"I was like, 'oh my god I'm in trouble' because I thought I did something wrong," he recounted to WKMG.
He asked the officers if he could get out of the car and when a female cop asked him what he does for a living, he said he was a singer.
"And she was like, 'well sing me a song,'" he said.
So he grabbed his selfie stick and, with his cellphone recording, he started an incredible performance of "You Are So Beautiful."
Bristol later shared the video to his Facebook page, where it has been viewed more than 70,000 times.
He said he left without a ticket - but with a big smile.
"It brought us together," he said. "Both of us left smiling. They made my day out there and I was quite sure that through that beautiful song that it made their day. So it worked out real well."
