This Day-Old Sea Otter Can't Stop Snuggling With Its Mom
A day-old sea otter was born at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and will not leave it's mother's side.
A momma otter can't get enough of her newborn pup, spending all her time snuggling the little critter at the “Great Tide Pool” at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

The newborn pup tries to sleep while lying on top of her mom while the pair float in the tide pool in a video by Viral Hog.
The wild California sea otter sought refuge at the “Great Tide Pool” to give birth to the baby.

The mom has spent time grooming and fluffing her newborn's fur to help her float. The aquarium says that they will likely stay in the area a little longer before heading back out into the wild.
The Monterey Bay Aquarium rescues, rehabilitates and releases stranded sea otter pups. They also care and seek homes for sea otters that are no longer able to survive in the wild.
