Nicole Brown's Sister Fumes: We Were Never Consulted About O.J. TV Series
Tanya Brown was overcome with emotion as she watched the trailer for the upcoming miniseries.
Nicole Brown Simpson's sister, Tanya, was brought to tears as she watches scenes from the TV series American Crime Story: The People Versus O.J. Simpson for the first time.
“I want people to know these are two people who were taken, I lived this,” she emotionally told INSIDE EDITION.
The FX series has an all-star line-up including Cuba Gooding Jr. as O.J. Simpson and John Travolta as his defense attorney Robert Shapiro,
“Shame on Travolta,” Tanya said. “Shame on Cuba Gooding. I am just so frustrated with the disrespect.”
David Schwimmer plays defense lawyer Robert Kardashian and Selma Blair stars as his wife, Kris Jenner. Sarah Paulson is prosecutor Marcia Clark and Courtney B. Vance is the late Johnnie Cochran.
The series is a behind-the-scenes look at the trial of the last century following the brutal murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman in 1994.
Images of Nicole and Ron are used in the series as well as crime scene photos. Tanya is fuming because she says no one from the show reached out to her family
A frustrated Tanya said: “Not one person, not a producer, not a cast member, nobody, not one person called my family to say ‘Hey we are doing this movie, what was Nicole like?’”
O.J. Simpson was acquitted of the murders, but he's now in prison serving a 30-year sentence on an unrelated case for robbery and kidnapping.
“He never said ‘I’m sorry.’ He never said ‘I'm sorry,’ Tanya said. “I miss Nicole.”
Another point of contention for Tanya: the FX series debuts February 2, the wedding anniversary of Nicole and O.J.
