A beauty company's attempt to weigh in on the Oscars went horribly wrong when it confused an image of Whoopi Goldberg for Oprah Winfrey.

The website Total Beauty mistook The View host for Oprah, tweeting a photo of Goldberg showing off her massive shoulder tattoo with the caption: “We had no idea Oprah was tatted, and we love it.”

The website responded to the blacklash, writing: “We'd like to apologize to Oprah and Whoopi, as well as everyone we've offended. It was our error, and there are no excuses. We're sorry.”
CBS Anchor Gayle King posted this photo of her daughter watching the Oscars with the “Queen of All Media.”
It capped a night that saw Chris Rock confronting Hollywood’s diversity problem head-on.

The comic said in his opening monologue: "We want black actors to get the same opportunities as white actors. That’s it. Not just once. Leo gets a great part every year and, you know, everybody, all you guys, get great parts all the time."
