Trump, Carson Perform 'Stand By Trump' to Tune of 'Stand By Me' At Sing-Along

Trump also said that his former rival will be very involved in his campaign.

There was a Donald Trump sing-along at a Republican fundraiser on Sunday night.

The GOP frontrunner joined singer Beau Davidson as he performed at the billionaire's Mar-A-Lago estate in Florida.

Davidson, a two-time Emmy-nominated singer/composer, adapted the lyrics of Ben E. King’s classic "Stand By Me" to "Stand By Trump" -- and former rival Dr. Ben Carson joined in too.

Davidson sang a modified version of the song which included the lyrics: "So Donald, Donald stand by us, and we'll stand by you."

Dr. Carson, who endorsed the real estate tycoon earlier this month, will now be “totally involved” in the billionaire’s campaign Trump said when spoke at the Palm Beach Country Republican Party’s annual Lincoln Day fundraiser.

Trump told the crowd of supporters: “You're gonna love me so much as president. You're gonna be so proud of me as president. I will be the most presidential president this country has ever had, except for Honest Abe Lincoln. ... If we bring our party together, we will win by numbers you've never seen before."

Trump also had to come to the defense of his campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, who was caught on tape apparently yanking a protestor by the collar, over the weekend in Arizona.

"I give [Lewandowski] credit for having spirit," he told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on This Week. "He wanted them to take down those horrible profanity laced signs.”

The Trump campaign now says in a statement: "We will be dedicating additional security resources to larger events in the future to prevent staff from having to intervene."

The Trump campaign also denied that Lewandowski pulled the man.  Campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks said the aide “was speaking with a protestor at today’s rally in Tucson, Arizona, when the individual he was speaking with was pulled from behind by [a] man to Lewandowski’s left.”  “The video clearly shows the protestor reacting to the man who pulled him, not to Mr Lewandowski,” she reportedly said. “Mr Trump does not condone violence at his rallies, which are private events paid for by the campaign.”

Further violence erupted on Saturday when one of Trump’s supporters punched and kicked a protestor at a campaign rally in Tucson.

Protestors shut down highways in Arizona that lead to a Trump rally.

The GOP frontrunner tweeted:

Why is it that the horrendous protesters, who scream, curse punch, shut down roads/doors during my RALLIES, are never blamed by media? SAD!

The protesters blocked a major highway yesterday, delaying entry to my RALLY in Arizona by hours, and the media blames my supporters!
