According to reports, Mark Holmes is looking to rent a two-bedroom apartment in Grand Junction but will not have Trump supporters as tenants. He made his feelings known in an ad where he said that supporters of the real estate tycoon were not welcomed.
But after the ad was posted in a local newspaper, he began receiving threatening voicemails from angry Trump supporters.
Many opposed to the ad thought it was a discrimination violation of federal housing rules set by U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
But a Housing and Urban Development spokesperson, Jerry Brown, told The Daily Sentinel: “That has nothing to do with the Fair Housing Act. But that seems to be a first, and it’s original.”
Holmes told The Sentinel that he does not want to share a roof with Trump supporters.

“He’s preaching hate and he’s preaching … a lot of venom, spit and vinegar. And I live in the top part of the house. I don’t want anybody that even thinks that Donald Trump can be a good president to live in my home,” he said.
The landlord has said he has already received several applicants.
