16-Year-Old California Girl Disappears With Former High School Wrestling Coach: Police

They are believed to be in a "romantic" relationship, police said.
California authorities are looking for a teen girl who allegedly disappeared with a former high school wrestling coach.
The 16-year-old, who has not been named, and 25-year-old Phillip Maglaya are said to be in a “romantic" relationship, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office.
Both vanished nearly a week ago, police said.
“She mentioned someone, but not that it was a wrestling coach or anything, just someone that she might like,” Franklin High School junior Brisa Madrigal, a friend of the teen, told CBS Sacramento. “She never told us who he was, or where he’s from, or anything."
Maglaya reportedly started volunteering as a coach last year after passing a background check. He later advised the school he wouldn’t be returning, the Stockton Unified School District said.
Police are looking for a green Toyota extended cab truck, which they believe the pair are traveling in, with the license plate number 8G91493.
Anyone with information about the pair's whereabouts is urged to contact the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s office at (209) 468-4400.
