Watch Two Journalists Scuffle During Correspondents' Dinner After Party
Two reporters got into at an after party for the White House Correspondents' Dinner.
Punches were reportedly thrown at a White House Correspondents’ Dinner after party.
Jesse Watters, an O'Reilly Factor correspondent, got into a scuffle with Huffington Post reporter Ryan Grim. The fight broke in the early hours of Sunday morning at the Washington Institute Of Peace during the MSNBC party.
The two have sparred on Twitter before but never came to blows until this weekend.
Onlookers at the event tweeted about the moment:
One witness told The Washington Post: “Punches were definitely thrown.”
No one knows for sure what lead up to the fight, but they were separated by bystanders, including Sean Spicer, communications director for the Republican National Committee.
According to a Fox spokesperson, Jesse Watters will address the situation on Monday’s O’Reilly Factor.
Grim took to Twitter to share his side of the story:
.@dceiver there's probably video. Ambush guy snatched my phone, didn't like being filmed, he tried to keep it. That didn't happen.May 1, 2016
