Dani Mathers took to Snapchat to say she was sorry after posting an image of a naked woman getting undressed in the gym locker room with the rude caption: "If I can't unsee this then you can't either” on the photo-sharing site Wednesday.
She later took the image down and posted a video, where she said: “It was absolutely wrong and not what I meant to do.”
Adding: "I know I have upset a lot of people out there but please, please believe me when I say I will never do this again. You have my word."
The photo was taken as the Playmate was sitting inside the gym's sauna. The other woman in the locker room had no idea she was being photographed and that her naked body would be displayed on social media for all to see.
Mathers has 500,000 followers on Instagram and more than a million on Facebook.
When the controversial image went out on her popular Snapchat account, reaction was swift and all negative
"That poor woman's naked body is circulating the internet when she never intended it to. It's really heartbreaking," wrote one woman.
Another posted: “Its people like you that make others uneasy about changing openly in locker rooms.”

One person simply wrote “Vile” in the comments section.
The model quickly tried to made amends, claiming she only meant to send the image to a friend.
“It's my first time doing snap chat, I did not know it would go out to everyone,” she said.
The photo was taken inside an L.A. Fitness. The gym would not comment on the matter.
