Giuliani Says There Were No Terror Attacks in U.S. Before Obama, Apparently Forgetting 9/11

The worst terror attack on American soil appeared to slip the former mayor's mind as he blasted President Obama.

Did former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani forget about the 9/11 terror attacks while introducing Donald Trump during an Ohio rally?

"Under those eight years, before Obama came along, we didn't have any successful radical Islamic terrorist attack inside the United States,” the former mayor said. “They all started when Clinton and Obama got into office.”

In actuality, the devastating attacks occurred during the presidency of George W. Bush. Obama wouldn't be elected until nearly seven years later.

The former NYC mayor is now facing heat for the absent-minded slip.

And of course a phantom panic happens at the same time that Giuliani literally forgets 9/11. The transition to terror theater is complete.

The New York Daily News has pointed out that the mistake comes two weeks after Giuliani appeared on ABC's This Week with a big bruise on his forehead.

Giuliani had said he bumped his head after falling in the shower, raising speculation that a head injury may have contributed to the statement.

On Tuesday, Giuliani spoke to the Daily News and said that his comments were “misinterpreted” because he speaks in an “abbreviated” language.

He said: “You speak in somewhat abbreviated language. All human beings speak in abbreviated language at times."

Giuliani added: “Will I again say things in the future that can be taken out of context or misinterpreted? Of course I will. I didn't forget 9/11. I hardly would. I almost died in it.

In the wake of the September 11 attacks, Giuliani was lauded for helping the city heal and uniting New Yorkers. He was also made an honorary knight by the Queen of England.
