The video of the 2014 incident has been released by Joe Mixon's attorneys.
A shocking video of Oklahoma University running back Joe Mixon punching a female student during a violent confrontation more than two years ago has reignited calls to keep him off the field.
In the video released Friday by The Associated Press, Mia Molitor entered a campus hangout at 2:39 a.m. in July 2014, followed seconds later by Mixon.
He is then seen approaching a table where she and a friend were talking and within seconds the argument started. She pushed him, then slaps him.
In a flash, he strikes her with a devastating right hook and Molitor hits her head on a table before crumbling to the ground. Mixon can then be seen walking away as friends try to a help a staggering Molitor to her feet.
Molitor's jaw was broken and had to be wired shut. She told police she didn't know Mixon and said the argument started because he made a homophobic slur directed at her friend.
Mixon will lead the Oklahoma Sooners to the Sugar Bowl on January 2, but the release of the video has many saying he shouldn't be allowed to play.
Mixon pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges and apologized to Molitor.

He was suspended from the University of Oklahoma football team for the 2014 season but was back playing in 2015.
"Mr. Mixon asked us to once again say he is sorry for the way he acted that night," Mixon's attorneys said in a statement. "He has publicly apologized to Ms. Molitor, her friends, his family, teammates, and the University. He hopes that his voluntary release of these recordings will help put this matter to rest."
In addition, TMZ reported Monday that Mixon was recently booted from his apartment near the OU campus after falling behind on rent.
