It Was Love at First Sight for Teen With Special Needs and Elderly Cat She Rescued
In a video shot hours after their meeting, Laura, 14, can be seen smiling ear to ear with Lou, the elderly cat, tucked under her arm.
It was love at first sight when a teen with special needs met this elderly cat for the first time
Lou, an elderly cat, was once considered unadoptable. According to the Lorca Animal Rescue in Spain, he had been at the shelter for a long time and was having trouble finding a family.
But when a woman adopted the feline for her 14-year-old daughter Laura, who has a rare blood disorder that also affects her neurological and physical development, it was obvious the pair was a match made in heaven.
In a video recorded just hours after the pair met, Laura can be seen smiling from ear to ear, with Lou tucked gently under her arm.
"We didn't understand why Lou couldn't find a family, being such a docile and affectionate cat," the Lorca Animal Rescue wrote in Spanish. "He was waiting for little Laura."
