Bette Davis' Daughter Alleges Mother Practiced Witchcraft: 'She Vowed to Get Even With Me'

Despite her mother's death in 1989, B.D. Hyman is still feuding with her.

Bette Davis’ daughter is making shocking claims about her mom following the release of the new miniseries, Feud: Bette and Joan, which recreates Davis' legendary rivalry with fellow Hollywood icon Joan Crawford.

Davis’ daughter, B.D. Hyman, is now 69 years old. She and her mother had a tumultuous relationship throughout most of her life. That troubled bond between mother and daughter is also depicted in Feud.

Davis died in 1989 at age 80. In her will, she disinherited her daughter with the words, "I declare that I have intentionally and with full knowledge omitted to provide herein for my daughter."

Hyman recently posted a YouTube video to promote her Christian ministry. In the video, she makes some shocking claims about her mother.

“She practiced the occult witchcraft and when I would not do what she wanted me to do, she vowed to get even with me,” Hyman said in the clip. "When she was gutting fish, which she loved to do, she would always get fish whole from the fish monger and she would gut them herself and rip their insides out and mumbled the names of people she wished to do the same."

Hyman also documented her relationship with her mom in her 1985 memoir, My Mother's Keeper, which portrayed Davis as an emotionally abusive alcoholic.

Feud stars Jessica Lange as Crawford and Susan Sarandon as Davis, with the star-studded supporting cast of Alfred Molina, Stanley Tucci, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Kathy Bates, Judy Davis and Sarah Paulson. The FX miniseries chronicles the production of the campy classic film Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?

Hollywood journalist Jeanne Wolfe told Inside Edition that the actresses “were notoriously competitive" and "competed over men; they competed over parts; they competed over glory.”

Crawford’s daughter, Christina, also had a rough ride with her mom. She wrote the memoir, Mommy Dearest, which was made into the classic film starring Faye Dunaway.
