Chris Christie Fallout Draws Reaction From Sarah Palin And Others

INSIDE EDITION caught up with Sarah Palin to get her take on the Chris Christie traffic scandal as some New Jersey residents file lawsuits over the debacle.

The Chris Christie crisis has shocked another person who's no stranger to political controversy.

Sarah Palin is weighing in on the George Washington Bridge scandal that snarled traffic for four days and shook up the lives of thousands of commuters.

"A pretty atrocious act, and that was to snarl traffic. What an inconvenience. What a dangerous situation," Palin told INSIDE EDITION. "I'm glad that he fired the people that were involved in that. But still, in the grand scheme of things, it's nothing compared to what some leaders in our White House have engaged in and covered up."

The one-time Republican vice-presidential candidate is promoting her new Sportsman Channel reality show, Amazing America with Sarah Palin.

INSIDE EDITION's Jim Moret asked, "Are you going to run for president?"

"I don't know what the future holds politically," answered Palin.

The same thing can be said about Christie. He's just been hit with a class action lawsuit from six citizens who were caught up in that now-infamous traffic jam.

Joy Galicky claims she suffered a panic attack in the midst of the epic traffic chaos last September. She and the five others are represented by attorney Rosemarie Arnold.

Arnold told INSIDE EDITION, "People are having panic attacks and having to throw up on the side of the road. That's not an inconvenience. That's a disaster. This was havoc that was wreaked upon the citizens of Fort Lee and the surrounding areas."

Ninety-one-year-old Florence Genova was suffering a heart attack when emergency officials say their response time was delayed by the bridge lane closuers. She was pronounced dead at the hospital. But Mrs. Genova's son-in-law says she was "already dead when they got there."

And as the Christie crisis continues, the late night comics are having a field day.

David Letterman joked, "Highlights of the Chris Christie press conference. No. 3, boldly took responsibility by blaming everyone but himself."

Jay Leno joked, "New Jersey Governor Chris Christie in the news, as you know. He doesn't know yet if he's running for president in 2016. I guess he'll cross that bridge when he comes to it."
