"I was back! It was so much fun," she said.
It was the first time she'd been on the show since Johnny Carson banned her nearly 30 years ago, for taking a job hosting a rival late-night show on Fox. The ban continued through Leno's long reign.
INSIDE EDITION caught up with Rivers in Los Angeles, the day after her return to The Tonight Show.
"The (bleeping) curse is gone!"
The 80-year-old comedy legend has nothing but praise for Jimmy Fallon, saying, "He's so perfect for it and he's happy to be doing it. It's a pleasure. He's a wonderful worker."
So, it's thumbs-up for the new king of The Tonight Show, and a single finger to Jay Leno.
