Best Man and Bride-to-Be Prank Groom in First Look Photo Shoot

The best man threw on a dress and veil, and surprised the groom.

A best man pulled off the ultimate prank when it was time for the groom to see his bride for the first time.

Groom David Hoffman burst into laughter when he was expecting to see his bride-to-be, Brianne Dennis, for their “first look” photo shoot, but was instead surprised by his best man, Timmy Horton, in a dress.

The couple, who lives in Maryville, Washington, planned to take a “first look” photo shoot, which captures the initial reaction of the groom when he sees the bride for the first time prior to the wedding. The groom is typically faced away from the bride until she taps him on the shoulder to turn around.

SWNS reported Dennis and Horton had planned the prank after the best man saw some similar wedding jokes online. Dennis was against the idea at first, but later gave in as the wedding got closer.

"I didn't want any of their shenanigans on the day,” she said. “But a few months down the road, I changed my mind."

Horton, of Snohomish, Washington, dressed up in a white strapless gown and complimented it with veil attached to a snapback hat.

Needless to say, when Hoffman was tapped on the shoulder, he got quite the shock.

"I was expecting to see Brianne and I turned around to see Timmy in a wedding dress,” Hoffman told SWNS. "He was pale and hairy and we love each other very much but not in that way.”

The prank was captured by photographer Anna Morrison. Then, the two men took silly photos, kissing each other on the cheek and holding one another.

"When it happened I just couldn't restrain myself and I burst out laughing,” Horton said. “I think it really broke the ice and the tension."

But then it was time to take his actual first look at his bride. Hoffman turned back around and awaited Dennis, who approached her groom for a second photo shoot.

"There had been so much building up to that moment that when I first saw her, all of a sudden I just felt complete,” Hoffman said. “I'll remember the day and that moment forever."

This joke comes shortly after another bride-to-be and best man pulled the same prank in August.

Dennis admitted to SWNS she was pleased with the prank before their ceremony on Nov. 17.

"When I look at the photos I'm really happy. I'm so glad we did it. It was hilarious."
