Casey Anthony's Father Reacts to Her Possibly Having More Children: 'I Hope She Does Better This Time Around'

Casey Anthony has said she is "open" to having more children, according to a report.
The father of Casey Anthony has responded to a report that his daughter "is open" to having more children.
“Knowing now that she could potentially be a mom again, I hope she does better this time around than what she did last time,” George Anthony said during an interview on "The Dr. Oz Show" scheduled to air Thursday.
George was asked about a recent People magazine article in which an unnamed source said the woman accused, but acquitted, of killing her 2-year-old daughter "is open" to having another child and doesn't care what anyone thinks about her.
“What do you think about that?” Dr. Mehmet Oz asked George. “How would you feel if you found out that she’s open to having a child?”
The father, who is estranged from his daughter, replied, "When I held Caylee the very first time, I was so excited. I was off-the-charts excited. I was three feet off the ground for days, weeks, even some years.”
But that was a long time ago, both in years and emotional mileage.
“Knowing now that she could potentially be a mom again, I hope she does better this time around than what she did last time,” he said.
George and his wife, Cindy, don't speak with their daughter, who was found not guilty of murder charges in 2011.
The young woman's murder trial, broadcast live on national television, transfixed the country.
Now 32, she works as a researcher for the Florida private investigator employed by her defense team. She has a small group of friends and tries to stay out of public view.
Last year, in an interview with The Associated Press, Casey said, "I don’t give a s*** about what anyone thinks about me. I never will. Based off what was in the media, I understand the reasons people feel about me. I understand why people have the opinions that they do.
“I’m OK with myself,” she said. "I sleep pretty good at night.”
Should his daughter have a baby, giving him another grandchild, George said, "I hope that child is strong, grows up to be a worthwhile part of society and, the person that she has the child with, I hope they are going to love her and that child immensely.
“I hope whatever life she has left, that she makes something positive happen in her life.”
