'Deal or No Deal' Returns With More 'Girl Power'
The ladies holding the briefcases have more to do this time around.
The hit game show “Deal or No Deal” is returning to television.
Known for its briefcase models, the show, which helped launch the career of Meghan Markle, features contestants deal their way toward a $1 million grand prize.
Howie Mandel is reprising his position as host, but the briefcase models are taking on a larger role, making the show more female-focused.
Brittany McGowan and Mahogany Lox are among the new lineup of women holding the briefcases.
They told Inside Edition that the models will now be mic'd up during the shows and interacting with Mandel. The show is also posting each lady's social media handle during the show so the audience can interact with them.
"We have a voice and a presence both on and off set," McGowan said.
McGowan is a former Miss Nevada while Lox hails from Motown royalty since she is Berry Gordy’s granddaughter. Now, they're filling the famous shoes of the original briefcase models.
Also changed? The famous silhouetted male banker dishing out the money has now been replaced by a woman giving out the cash.
"The is totally more girl power there," Lox added.
The all-new "Deal or No Deal" will air Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on CNBC.
