Bodycam footage captured the heroic rescue.
A curious canine that found its head trapped in a fence has been rescued, thanks to local authorities.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office in South Carolina released body cam footage of deputies pulling away wire from the dog’s head.
“It’s going to be OK, little buddy," said Master Deputy John Boyd in the video as he pet the frightened pup’s head. "We’ll get you taken care of."
After some nimble handiwork, they were able to twist the wire away from the dog’s neck.
“All in a day's work,” the sheriff’s office wrote on Facebook. “GCSO Master Deputy John Boyd made sure this beautiful pup lived to bark another day.”
