Doctor Allegedly Performs Abortion on Wrong Pregnant Woman: Reports

The doctor in South Korea is being investigated by authorities.
A woman in South Korea lost her child when a doctor allegedly performed an abortion on the wrong patient.
Last month, a woman pregnant with a 6-week-old fetus went to a clinic in Seoul to receive a nutritional shot, according to several reports. However, there was a mix-up in medical charts and staff allegedly didn't check her identity before going ahead with the procedure, police said.
The nurse allegedly injected the woman with anesthesia before the doctor performed the abortion, all while the patient was reportedly unaware.
The woman reportedly returned to the clinic the next day after experiencing bleeding. And it was then she was told her baby was aborted.
Police said the doctor and nurse "have acknowledged their fault" and are accused of negligence resulting in bodily harm.
The head doctor and nurse are under investigation.
