Hollywood legend Doris Day has turned 91, and what better way to celebrate than with a birthday serenade from fans.

Once America's top box office leading lady in the 50's and 60's, Doris wore a wide-brimmed yellow hat and sunglasses as she peered over a balcony at her home in Carmel, California.

Her famous voice could be heard over the speaker phone as fans admired her hat.

"You like the hat?" she said, to a chorus of cheers.
