Kim Kardashian Sues Old Navy

Kim Kardashian has filed a lawsuit against Old Navy claiming they confused the public by using an actress who looks just like her. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.

Kim Kardashian is making a federal case out of an Old Navy commercial featuring an actress who looks just like her. Now she's suing Old Navy.

Kardashian claims in court papers that some TV viewers actually think the look-a-like is her and that she's endorsing Old Navy clothes.

"The infringing ads have caused actual confusion in the minds of the consuming public" Kardashian claims in the lawsuit.

She says Old Navy misappropriated her famous image when they hired actress Melissa Molinaro.

INSIDE EDITION's Jim Moret asked Molinaro, "Until all this happened did anybody say, 'Gosh that looks like Kim Kardashian?' "

"No," said Molinaro.

Moret interviewed Molinaro when the commericial came out five months ago. She says says she was picked from over 1,000 actresses because she can sing and dance, not because she resembles Kardashian.

Moret asked, "Did anyone shooting the commercial say 'we want you to look like Kim Kardashian?' "

"No. It was not about a specific image they were trying to create. It was about them finding a girl with the whole package," said Molinaro.

And in a bizarre twist, Melissa is now dating football star Reggie Bush, Kardashian's old boyfriend. Although there's no indication that's why Kardashian is angry about Old Navy's alleged "kimposter."

Old Navy told INSIDE EDITION that they do not comment on pending litigation.
