Beyoncé and Jay-Z Welcome Baby Blue

INSIDE EDITION has all the details on the birth of Jay-Z and Beyonce's baby, Blue Ivy.

Million dollar baby.

Beyoncé's baby girl, Blue Ivy Carter, was born in style, in a luxury suite at New York's Lennox Hill hospital. Beyoncé and hubby Jay-Z spent $1.3 million to redecorate almost an entire floor and got V.I.P. treatment, virtually taking over the maternity ward.

Security has been beefed up at Lenox Hill where Beyoncé is resting after the birth of her baby girl. She is in a specially designed fourth floor recovery room. The windows are blackened out and security guards man the elevators. They are determined no-one will see this baby before they're ready to show the world.

But the extra security is causing headaches in the hospital, the other new moms and dads are not happy.

Rosalyn Coulon just gave birth to twins at the hospital and down the hall from Beyoncé. She says Beyoncé's bodyguards acted like nightclub bouncers.

Coulon told INSIDE EDITION, "We are all here having babies, and we are equal here and we should be treated equally here and it is ridiculous that you are asking my family to leave so that someone can walk through a corridor."

Most people are thrilled with Beyoncé's big news and are asking, where did the baby's name come from? What does Blue Ivy mean?

Blue comes from Jay-Z's Blueprint albums.

And Ivy is from the roman numerals I and V which is the number 4, Beyoncé and Jay-Z's favorite number and the name of her 2011 album.

An INSIDE EDITION poll asked our viewers what they thought of the unusual name. Just 24% like it, 65% don't like it.

Get this, baby Blue already has a record. Jay-Z just released a new song on Twitter featuring his newborn crying.
