The death of Casey Kasem hasn't put an end to the rift between his kids and their stepmom, Jean.
Logan Clarke is a private detective who was hired by Casey Kasems daughter, Kerri, to investigate her father's final days.
Clarke told INSIDE EDITION's Jim Moret, “I want to see those handcuffs clicked on her wrists."
Kasem's children claim that Jean snuck him out of a Santa Monica nursing home putting him in grave danger.
Clarke said, "The hospital said, 'You can't do that! You can't take him out of here! He is going to die!' They called the doctor. They said, 'This could kill him.'"
Moret said, "So, you have a man with a feeding tube taken out of convalescent hospital at 2:30 in the morning."
Clarke jumped in and said, "Who is supposed to be in a hospital bed at all times."
Clarke said his investigation showed that Jean Kasem then took her husband on a week long odyssey to avoid from being discovered. Clarke said they drove from Santa Monica to Las Vegas and then on to Arizona before finally flying to a private residence outside Seattle.
Clarke said, "The doctor told her that this would be fatal to Mr. Kasem. Everyone, the nurses, everyone freaked out. No one could believe this was being done."
The radio broadcast legend was only hospitalized after a judge ruled in favor of his children, leading to this outburst from Jean outside court, "God help them!"
Casey Kasem died Sunday morning, apparently from sepsis.
In court papers Jean Kasem wrote: “I have spared no expense to ensure that (Casey) receives state-of-the-art medical treatment and 24 hour-a-day care."
Moret asked Clarke, “Do you believe Jean Kasem's actions shortened Casey Kasem's life?”
He replied, “Absolutely. She hastened his death. Absolutely, considerably."
INSIDE EDITION reached out to Jean Kasem, but she did not comment on the investigator's allegations.
