While "Jurassic Park," has no specific connection to the city, that doesn't seem to have bothered eager fans, who have descended on the 25-foot, 330-pound sculpture for selfie opportunities.
The statue, which was created by Now TV, commemorates the now-infamous scene where an injured Ian Malcolm (played by Goldblum) reclines shirtless after escaping a T. rex attack.
Can you believe #JurassicPark is 25? ???— NOW TV (@NOWTV) July 18, 2018
To celebrate, we’ve created a Jurassic-sized homage to heartthrob Jeff Goldblum ???
He’s waiting for you at Potter’s Field until dinner time tomorrow ?#JurassicJeff #JP25 pic.twitter.com/Oimt6WAc8A
People are thrilled.
The sculpture will be in place until July 26, so find a way over there soon.
