Great White Shark Sneaks Up on Cops Patrolling the Waters
The officers said they felt the shark brush up against their engine.
It’s generally a bad idea to tailgate the police, but this great white shark didn’t seem to care.
Two Australian police officers were patrolling the waters off the eastern coast of the island off Edithburgh in a small boat when a great white shark nearly as big as their dinghy swam alongside them.
Officers Tristan Shaw and Andrew Suter, who only meant to conduct safety checks on recreational boaters, said the beast got so close that they felt it rub up against the engine.
Lucky for them, the shark didn’t cause much of a fuss — probably because it didn’t intend to be breathalyzed, the cops joked on their Facebook page.
