Donald Trump has threatened to run as an Independent candidate if the Republican Party doesn't play nice.

“I’ll have to see how I’m being treated by the Republicans,” Trump told The Hill. “Absolutely, if they’re not fair, that would be a factor.”

But he's apparently not the only one who wants him out: Republican party bosses considered having him kicked out of the upcoming debates, the New York Times reported.

Three of the candidates - Jeb Bush, Scott Walker and Marco Rubio - were asked to "band together" and "refuse to debate" - if Trump was on stage, according to the report. But they rejected the plea, worried that it would make him a "martyr".

On Wednesday night, Trump gave yet another impassioned interview as he spoke to CNN's Anderson Cooper - but he wasn't happy when the host mentioned a new poll showing Trump with an "unfavorable" rating.

"You only want to talk about negative," Trump said. "Why don't you bring up the positive polls, Anderson?

"I'm leading across the board and then you hit me with this poll that I didn't even see before. That's why the people don't trust you and the people don't trust the media."

The outspoken interviews come as he released his 92-page financial disclosure, which showed he earned a huge $308 million last year.

Half of that - $200 million - comes from golf courses, according to the document.

He also made $66 million from the sale of condos at his ritzy Trump buildings and $1.75 million from just seven speaking engagements.

But it's not all success: Trump has co-authored more than a dozen books but made a measly $201 in royalties last year for his book, Think BIG and Kick Ass in Business and Life.
