Megyn Kelly Defends Herself Over Trump Fallout: 'I Will Not Apologize for Good Journalism'

Fox News' Megyn Kelly says she will not apologize to Donald Trump after the recent GOP debate she moderated.

Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly has addressed her battle with Donald Trump.

“I just got back from a weekend at the beach with my husband and my three kids. Did anything happen in the news while I was gone?” she joked on The Kelly File on Monday night.

Trump slammed Kelly after she asked about his obnoxious remarks towards women during last week's GOP debate. He has since called for her to apologize.

She said: “Mr. Trump did interviews over the week that attacked me personally. I've decided not to respond. Mr. Trump is an interesting man who has captured the attention of the electorate. That's why he is leading in the polls.

"Trump, who is the front-runner, will not apologize and I certainly will not apologize for doing good journalism.”

Hillary Clinton, who was on the campaign trail in New Hampshire, joined the fray.

“While what Donald Trump said about Megyn Kelly is outrageous what the rest of the Republicans are saying about all women is also outrageous,” the Democratic candidate said.

She downplayed her apparent friendship with Trump and his claim that she and Bill Clinton attended his wedding because he was a big donor.

Hillary said: “It's entertainment. It's all entertainment. I think he's having the time of his life being up on that stage saying whatever he wants to say getting people excited for and against him.

“I happened to be planning to be in Florida and I thought it would be fun to go to his wedding. Now that he's running for president it's a little more troubling.”

Trump was back on Fox News channel Tuesday morning and did a phone interview on Fox and Friends.

Megyn Kelly didn't come up. Instead he took aim at Hillary: “She's saying she went because of yucks not the bucks. Sounds like she feels she made a mistake. Interesting thing.”
