A mom and dad of triplets decided to face off in the ultimate parental battle: Who can change three diapers the fastest?
"Changing three diapers in itself can be quite challenging, so we decided to make the contest out of it," California mom-of-three Desiree Fortin told InsideEdition.com. "Daddy was convinced he would win."
"She's going down," Ryan Fortin could be heard saying in the video. "When the money's on the line..."
"There's no money," Desiree clarified. "We all know that mommy will win, because mommy is the queen of diaper changing."
"My husband is pretty competitive," Desiree later told InsideEdition.com. "I don't think I've ever been so competitive until marrying my husband."
So they took to changing their kids, recording each parent as they changed all three babies and refitted them in their onesies.
"For me, the most challenging is the straps on the diapers," Desiree told InsideEdition.com.
Her husband struggled the most with the buttons.
Throwing a wrench into mom's plan, one of the tots began crying mid-challenge.
"I said, 'No, no, we're changing diapers now, it's a face-off. Be happy!" Desiree said.
Despite the hiccup, mom won the challenge, cheering when she realized as her husband continued fitting a onesie on the final triplet.
"Mommy kicked some butt!," Desiree told IE.com. "My husband is always up for a challenge. He's like, 'It's not over, babe.'"
Desiree said the family plans to do more "Mommy vs. Daddy" videos to see who can be the most efficient in feeding, bathing, and getting the triplets ready for church.
The pair uploaded their first video 11 months ago entitled "Our TRIPLET Reveal: The Best Kept Secret!"
After having told friends and family they were expecting twins, they had invited them to a gender revealing party. After the first two boxes were opened, and blue balloons flew out of each, a surprise third box was wheeled out, unveiling pink balloons.
Since then, the Fortins have moved in with Desiree's parents to get all the help they can with the triplets: "It takes a village, and we have our village.
"It's a huge responsibility and can be very challenging, but we wouldn't trade it for anything in the world," the proud mom continued. "They're the greatest loves of our lives."
