Eerie Video Surfaces from Accused White House Shooter

More details emerge on the man accused of firing shots at the White House last week, including a video he made professing to be the modern-day Jesus Christ. INSIDE EDITION has the latest.

A bizarre video made by the man charged with the attempted assassination of President Obama has surfaced.

He made the video just two months ago when he was a student at Idaho State University.

On the video, Oscar Ortega said, "I am the modern-day Jesus Christ that you all have been waiting for."

He ended the tape with a plea to appear on the Oprah Winfrey show.

On the video, Ortega said, "Please Oprah, I am begging you, cast me onto your show Oprah."

The student behind the camera said he knew something was off but did it because Ortega would not stop calling him.

"My reaction was just like, 'What is going on in this guy's head?' Obviously he's off his rocker. He's not there," said the student.

Ortega drove 2,200 miles from Idaho to Washington. The Washington Post says he was obsessed with one goal: he "needed to kill" the President.

Obama ignored a question about the attack on a state visit in Bali.
