Stephanie Davis said she’s happy her 10-year-old daughter called the police.

A mom who was driving while drunk said she’s happy her 10-year-old daughter called the police.

Stephanie Davis, 31, said she had taken her daughter and two nieces to see “The Lion King” in Glendale, Arizona, and had some wine during the movie. She admitted that she then got behind the wheel, prompting her own daughter to call the police on her.

Her daughter also recorded video of Davis swerving while driving and the kids in the car screaming, which she showed to police, according to reports. When police arrived, Davis smelled like alcohol and had trouble walking, police said.

The mom was arrested of suspicion of DUI once police arrived.

“This is the most embarrassing thing to happen in my life. That was the most failed moment of being a mother,” Davis told KTVK about the incident.

Davis also said what her daughter did was heroic and she was “disgusted by her behavior,” which she called a “mistake.”

"I did go to the movies and I did consume my wine, very wrong it is so easy to make an honest to God mistake," she said. "I thank God so much that nothing happened to my daughter, to my nieces and to nobody else."

Davis’ daughter said she knew she did the right thing because “something bad could have happened.”

Davis has been charged with aggravated DUI. She has not yet entered a plea.
