Homeowners Shocked as Unexpected Visitor Turns Up on Their Porch — an Alligator
They believed the alligator somehow made its way from a swampy area near the family’s home and to their shaded porch.
A Florida family received quite the unexpected visitor when an alligator showed up on their doorstep.
The Cape Coral Police Department responded to a local residence last week after the homeowner reported what they called a “suspicious package” on their doorstep.
They believed the alligator somehow made its way from a swampy area near the family’s home all the way to their shaded porch.
In videos posted to Facebook of the alligator lounging by the door and eventually crawling off the property, officers can be heard jokingly calling it a “10-31” — police code for a crime in progress.
“Needless to say, the homeowners got more than what they bargained for,” cops wrote in the Facebook post.
