How to Get the Most Out of the Holiday Sales
A shopping expert reveals what you should be buying now.
Malls are doing brisk business days after Christmas.
But while sale signs are everywhere, shopping expert Trae Bodge says you could save even more on some items if you wait just a little longer.
"There are so many great sales right now, particularly Christmas merchandise," she told Inside Edition
But she says winter apparel will also be on sale starting in the new year. She said to wait to buy linens because there will be “white sales” in January. Fitness gear and apparel typically go on sale next month as well. She says in February we will see great deals for jewelry.
If you're returning unwanted gifts, there are things you need to know.
“When you are returning in store, ideally you have a gift receipt because that will allow you to get the full amount back from your return," she advises. "If you don’t have a receipt, try and get as much as you can but you may have to get the sale price.”
Her recommendation is to return unwanted items as soon as possible. Some returns can only be made 60 to 90 days after the purchase.
