How to Survive Falling Down a Flight of Stairs

Believe it or not, there is a "right way" to fall.

Falls may be the No. 1 cause for emergency room visits in America, but did you know there's a "right" way to fall to prevent injury?

Would you know what to do if you fell down a flight of stairs?

Stuntman Zachary Huber of Hollywood Stunts NYC showed Inside Edition the proper way to take a tumble.

He says the first thing to do is protect your head, then ball up.

"If you are going down a flight of stairs, you need to be like a ball," Huber said. "You need to roll."

Would you know how to break down a door? You see it in the movies all the time, but the authors of The Ultimate Worst Case Scenario Survival Handbook say Hollywood has it all wrong.

First, never run into the door with your shoulder, as you could wind up dislocating it.

You want to strike the door as close as you can to the lock by kicking it since a kick will produce the most power.
