Jeep Struggles in Devastating Floodwaters Gripping Kenya
Overnight flooding has killed at least six people and about a dozen more remain missing.
The sheer power of deadly overnight flooding in Kenya can be seen in this aerial footage of a Jeep and its passengers struggling against the relentless deluge.
After muddy water toppled the vehicle and halted others, a group of men can be seen fighting to get to land.
Other shots show inundated villages and roadways.
Six people have drowned in the flooding and 11 others are missing, local authorities said Friday.
It's feared that the deaths, caused by heavy seasonal rains in recent weeks, could be followed up by an outbreak of waterborne cholera.
One area official called the situation a ticking time bomb for the deadly illness thanks to homes swamped by stagnant water.
