Laurel Vs. Yanny Debate Divides America
The clip of a computerized voice has ignited a social media frenzy.
The internet is enraptured by the conflict, as users have chosen their side based on whether they are hearing "Yanny" or "Laurel" in a short audio clip.
Even musician Yanni joined in on the fun, tweeting Wednesday, "I only hear Yanni ;) hahaha."
It’s the audio equivalent of "the dress," which drove America crazy back in 2015 as millions disputed whether the outfit was white and gold or black and blue.
Inside Edition’s audio engineer, Michael, is among the many who listened to the clip. He says it sounds like "Laurel."
When he took the bass out, he says he still hears "Laurel."
