17-Year-Old Tourist Scratches Name on Buddhist Temple in Japan: Report

Disrespectful tourists strike again, this time in Japan. Reports say a Canadian teen used his fingernails to scratch his name into a wooden pillar at a Buddhist temple. The suspect, identified in reports as Julian, apparently wanted to leave his mark at the Toshodaiji Kondo temple on the outskirts of Nara. The landmark is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
