Dad Battling Cancer Surprises Son With Autism on Walk to 1st Day of School

A Missouri boy thought he might have to start school without his dad by his side. Then he got a big surprise. Carmine Mattaline, 5, has autism and kindergarten is a big milestone for him, but while he was getting ready for the school year ahead, his dad was in the hospital. Police Sgt. Andy Mattaline underwent surgery after being diagnosed with cancer and had been recovering at a St. Louis area hospital for a couple weeks. InsideEdition.com's Mara Montalbano has more.
