Dad Raises Over $45,000 for Homeless With Bad Pet Drawings
People are spending good money on amature pet portraits, and it’s all going to a good cause. Phil Heckels says he was trying to get his son excited about writing thank you notes by offering to draw a picture of their family dog. He posted the picture on Facebook, jokingly offering his services as a pet portrait artist. Not only did people take him up on it, they offered to pay! Heckels asked “customers” to donate to a local homeless shelter, and has raised over $45,000 so far. Inside Edition’s TC Newman has more.
