Dog With Short Spine Rescued, Rehabbed to Happiness

A 2-year-old American foxhound named Cooper born with short spine syndrome is one of 30 dogs in the world with the genetic condition caused by inbreeding. Vertebrae in Cooper's spine is fused together and compressed, making the spine half the length it should be. He was believed to have been abandoned due to his condition, and he was rescued in 2017. Today he's been adopted into a loving forever home in Minnesota and has become a shining example of how dogs with disabilities still have a lot of life to live.
