Louisiana Doctors Evacuate Their Kids From Storm Then Return to Care for Patients

Dr. Emily Masumi and her husband Dr. Mohamed Masumi are in lockdown at a children's hospital in New Orleans after Hurricane Ida knocked out power for the entire city. They evacuated their three young children to Atlanta and returned to the eye of the storm to care for their patients. When their generators went down. They even had to pump oxygen by hand. Louisiana’s hospitals are already overflowing with COVID-19 patients, and the storm only intensifies that crush.
