Maori Leader Performs Haka in Parliament Before Oath to King Charles

A Maori politician performed an unexpected Haka in the middle of a government proceeding. The co-leader of the Maori Party, Rawiri Waititi, pledged allegiance to his descendants, all young people, and to the country’s founding document, The Treaty of Waitangi, in accordance with Maori practices and values.
