New Zealand Mosque Shooting Victims Remembered With Moment of Silence by UN

In the wake of the deadly attacks on two mosques in New Zealand, the United Nations Human Rights Council held a moment of silence. "We condemn this attack and the ideology behind it. This act of terror goes against everything New Zealand stands for," said the country's representative to the council. Following the brief speech, people stood in silence for one minute. The mass shootings killed at least 49 people and injured at least 48.
