Paris Protesters Set Fire to Protest Proposed Retirement Age

Piles of garbage littered the streets in Paris as workers joined the growing chorus opposed to a hotly contested bill that would raise the retirement age in France from 62 to 64. The bill got a push forward with the Senate’s adoption of the measure despite strikes, protests and the garbage piling higher by the day. President Emmanuel Macron still stands by the proposal.
