Rescuers Take Extraordinary Steps to Save Endangered Orangutan and Rhinoceros

An animal rescuer approached an orangutan in a tree and shot it with a tranquilizer dart. The orangutan didn’t know it was for its own good. The great ape was one of a group recently found looking for food on a palm oil plantation in Indonesia. After tranquilizing him, they brought him back to the forest. And in Kenya, scientists extracted egg cells from the last two Northern White rhinos. It’s part of an effort to keep the subspecies from going completely extinct.
