Residents in El Salvador Celebrate the Annual ‘Balls of Fire’ Festival

Residents in Nejapa, El Salvador, gathered together to celebrate their annual “Bolas de Fuego," or Balls of Fire festival. Balls of Fire, held yearly on August 31, commemorates the volcanic eruption that occurred in the region in 1658, forcing residents to abandon the small town. For the dangerous event, men with masks and painted faces throw gas-soaked rag balls at each other. And they are not bound by any rules while doing so. Inside Edition Digital has more.
