Patrick Rex and his team studied the relationship between juvenile white sharks and humans off Southern California beaches from 2019 to 2021. Drone footage shows baby sharks casually swimming as close as four feet away from beach-goers. And most times, people don’t even notice them. “The sharks might be learning that people aren't prey.
