Iowa Students Protest Proposed Anti-LGBTQ+ Bills
Students from at least 35 Iowa schools have walked out over proposed anti-LGBTQ+ bills working through the state’s legislature. One of the bills would ban patients under 18 years old from being able to get gender-transition surgery. Some bills would ban same-sex marriage, restrict the restrooms transgender people can use at schools and ban gender identity material from being in classrooms. Inside Edition Digital has more.
