A TikTok influencer and her mother were killed in a Texas car crash, officials said. Britney Murphy was known as ThatGirlBritneyJoy to her over half a million followers. Fans found her content relatable and laughed along with Britney’s funny facial expressions in her, “Get Ready with Me When I’d Rather Be in Bed,” videos. According to the Houston Police, on June 19, a truck hit the car Britney and her mother Sherie Smith were in, causing their Honda Civic to hit a tree in the median.
